The new Crocodilus malware steals encryption wallet keys from Android users

March 31 news, security company ThreatFabric's researchers stated that the new malware Crocodilus can steal mnemonic phrases of Android users' wallets. This malicious software spreads through proprietary drivers and bypasses the security protection of Android 13 (and higher versions), it does not trigger Play Protect when users install it. The malware overlays false warnings on the screen telling users to "backup wallet mnemonic phrases in settings within 12 hours", otherwise they may lose access to their wallets.
