Musk receives subpoena from U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission due to Twitter acquisition case
A court document on Thursday showed that Musk has been subpoenaed due to a lawsuit by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The subpoena was delivered to SpaceX headquarters on March 14th, and according to the lawsuit summary, the deadline for defense is April 4th. In January of this year (before Trump took office), the SEC sued Musk for not disclosing his purchase of Twitter stocks in time as required, saving him $150 million.
