Dragonfly executive: Ethereum Foundation should shift focus from research-driven to promoting project development and investment
The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is actively listening to community feedback and exploring operational changes, revealed by Dragonfly managing partner Haseeb Qureshi. Qureshi noted that after meeting with EF members at ETH San Francisco, there was a sense of urgency within the organization and a realization that the industry landscape has changed since 2020. He suggested that EF leadership is actively considering how to replicate successful initiatives like Solana's Superteam, shifting focus from research-driven to promoting project development and investment. Qureshi added: "Ethereum's leadership has recently received a lot of criticism - it's important for you all to know - these criticisms are having an effect. They're listening, they're seriously thinking about how to adapt. This is a learning moment for them." He also stated that EF leadership showed greater openness towards external ideas, gradually abandoning the "not invented here" mentality.
