The 176th ACDE meeting: It is expected to set the Goerli fork date early next year and activate Dencun in January
Ethereum core developer timbeiko.eth summarized the 176th ACDE meeting on X platform. Developers discussed the state of Dencun, the timeline for the test network, and how to plan network upgrades.
Based on the meeting discussions, the development team is ready to fork the test network and plans to conduct a large Goerli shadow fork in the coming weeks. The developers agreed that if everything goes smoothly, the Goerli fork date will be set for early 2024, and Dencun will be activated on the network in January.
In addition, the meeting briefly discussed the planning for the Prague/Electra network upgrade. The two potential themes for the next upgrade are Verkle Tries on EL and DAS on CL, which still need to be "studied in depth."
It is reported that the last ACDE meeting of 2023 will be held at 14:00 UTC on December 21st.
